Its Action Mode delivers exceptionally short flash durations—down to 1/13,500 second at minimum power—to freeze fast-moving subjects with remarkable clarity, while Color Mode prioritizes consistency, maintaining a stable 5600K ±50K color temperature across its entire power range. Whether you’re capturing high-speed action or demanding perfectly consistent color from frame to frame, Einstein gives you the flexibility to choose the performance that matters most for the shot.
The Einstein™ E640 delivers 640 watt-seconds of power with a remarkably broad 9-stop range from 640 Ws down to 2.5 Ws (1/256 power), providing precise control for everything from high-output studio work to wide-aperture portraits. Its IGBT-controlled design offers t.1 flash durations from 1/588 sec. to 1/13,500 sec. in Action Mode and 1/588 sec. to 1/8,000 sec. in Color Mode, while Color Mode maintains a consistent 5600K ±50K across the full power range. The unit recycles to full power in approximately 1.7 seconds, features a high-resolution 2.4-inch color LCD, operates on 95–265 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and uses a daylight-balanced, UV-coated 10mm single-ring flashtube.
The Einstein™ E640 arrives ready for studio use with a frosted Pyrex dome, Einstein flashtube, 250W modeling lamp, down-angle 15-foot power cord, light stand mounting block, Einstein fuse, and 15-foot sync cord. For wireless operation, the Einstein is designed specifically for use with the CyberSync™ CSXCV Transceiver, which installs directly into the unit and enables wireless firing and remote control when paired with compatible CyberSync transmitters and remotes. The CSXCV is sold separately and is not included with the flash unit.
