Your Absolute Satisfaction is Guaranteed.
We offer a 30-Day Absolute Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our products* (*Lithium batteries are not eligible for return and additional information regarding this exception can be found here). Eligible items for return must be sent back within 30 days of the purchase date to receive a full refund of the purchase price (less shipping) that will be credited back onto the same card that was used at the time of purchase. Any item that is received after the 30 days of the purchase date will NOT be eligible for a refund. 30-Day Absolute Satisfaction Guarantee not applicable for re-purchased products. We recommend that when you ship your item(s) for return, that you request a tracking number from the courier and that they guarantee delivery of the package prior to the expiration of your 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Any item(s) delivered to us after the 30-day guarantee period has expired will not be eligible for return and you will be required to pay to have the item(s) returned back to you.
Be sure to include a copy of the packing slip/invoice, or a note with the name and phone number the order was placed under stating the item(s) is coming back for return. Once received, we will issue a refund (less shipping) onto the same card that was used to make the original purchase. You do not need an RMA number for a return to be processed.
RETURN ELIGIBILTY DEPENDENT PACKAGING OF ITEMS. Please utilize insulation such as bubble or foam when shipping. Items damaged due insufficient return packaging will NOT be eligibile full return.
*As of 3/26/21, ALL batteries are no longer eligible for the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. Items no longer eligible include: 2010150, LINK-KITN and LINK-KITC (Battery Only), VMBA8.6A, VM120 (Battery Only).
**Please note that kit products, such as the LINK-KITN, LINK-KITC, and VM120, are eligible for a return minus their respective battery.
***The 30-Day Guarantee DOES still apply to defective batteries. If you have received a defective battery, and after extensive troubleshooting we have determined that the battery is defective, we will send replacement battery. We will not issue a refund for the defective battery, only provide a replacement. You do not need to return the defective battery to us. Please properly dispose of the defective lithium battery.
To return an item, please package it carefully for shipment (using the original packaging if possible). Be sure to include ALL of the components that originally arrived with the item. Include a quick note stating reason for return and that you are returning the item for a refund.
You can ship the item to our office using your choice of shipping method and carrier. We advise using a method where tracking is available. You may wish to purchase insurance as well. We cannot be held responsible for items that you ship to us using your preferred shipping method.

Upon receipt of your returned item(s), we will inspect the item(s) and process the refund within two weeks. The refund will be applied to the credit card that was originally used to purchase the order and you will be refunded the price you paid for the item. Shipping charges (to deliver the item to you originally, and to return the item to our offices) are not included in the refund. If you have any questions or need help, contact us.

All shipping fees MUST be prepaid. Any return shipping fees, brokerage fees, etc. billed to us will deducted from the refund issued.

Terms and Conditions of Warranty:
- This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a product or component that should become defective under normal use, as outlined in the product description and product manual.
- If, during the applicable warranty period, the product is found to be defective by Paul C. Buff, Inc., we will repair or replace the defective product with an equivalent model without charge for labor or parts.
- This warranty will not cover deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, act of nature, abuse, misuse, neglect, unauthorized product repair, shipping of the product, opening of or modification or failure to follow instructions supplied with product.
- This warranty does not apply to any flashtubes, modeling lamps, batteries, or memory cards that may arrive with a product as these become exhausted based on normal use. Specifically with the Vagabond Mini™ Lithium system, as battery capacity is a function of the number of charge / discharge cycles and other factors, batteries are considered exhaustible and no warranty can be offered for batteries that have been depleted from heavy and frequent use or misuse.
- The product must be returned to Paul C. Buff, Inc. for warranty service. For customers in the United States, warranty service includes return shipment via FedEx ground home delivery to the original destination (where the equipment was sent to the original purchaser). Customers outside of the United States will be responsible for all shipping fees, duties, taxes and brokerage fees to ship the product to and from our offices.

IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR PRODUCTS LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE. ALL LIABILITY OF Paul C. Buff, Inc.™ SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AT OUR OPTION, OF ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
- THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
- This warranty may not be altered other than in writing.
AlienBees™ Flash Unit Warranty Upgrades
Within two years of your purchase date, our factory will upgrade an AlienBees™ B400 or B800 flash unit to a higher power model for a charge of $25.00 plus the price difference between the models.

The shipping charges (both to and from our offices) are NOT included. You can ship your unit to us using your choice of shipping method and carrier. We advise using a method where tracking is available. You may wish to purchase insurance as well (we cannot be responsible for items that you ship to us using your preferred shipping method). We will ship your upgraded unit to you using your choice of available FedEx shipping methods for your location.
With the upgrade, we will include a new housing or case (you can change housing colors if you like) and any factory warranty service needed. The normal turnaround time for upgrades, color changes and service is 3 to 4 business weeks from the receipt of your unit and payment arrangement.
Note: Limited edition AlienBees™ B400 and B800 units can be upgraded for the same charge of $25 plus the price difference between the models (plus shipping), but the housing color cannot be changed to another limited edition color. Likewise, standard AlienBees™ units receiving an upgrade can change housing colors, but they cannot be changed to limited edition colors.
